Secure Your Email
Your email is the gateway to your One Trading account, so protect it with a strong, unique password and 2FA of its own. Update your email password regularly, and change it immediately if you notice anything suspicious. If someone gains access to your email, they can often reset your other accounts — so this is the single most important step you can take.
Use Strong Passwords and 2FA Everywhere
Use strong, unique passwords for your email, your One Trading account, and any password manager you rely on — never reuse passwords across accounts. Enable 2FA on all of them, not just One Trading. Update your passwords every three to six months, and change them immediately if you notice suspicious activity. The more layers of security you have, the harder it is for anyone else to get in.
Recognize Phishing and Fraudulent "Help"
Be skeptical of any email or message asking for your login credentials or personal information — legitimate communication from One Trading will never request your password. Avoid clicking suspicious links or downloading attachments from unknown sources, and verify anything unclear through our official support channels directly.
Be equally cautious of anyone offering to "help" you set up 2FA or manage your account, including handling transactions on your behalf. These offers are almost always attempts to gain unauthorized access. Never share access to your account with anyone — you should always be the only one in control of it.
Monitor Your Account Regularly
Check your transaction history, account balances, and notifications frequently to catch anything unusual early. If you notice unauthorized access or suspicious activity, report it to our Customer Care team immediately.
Protect and Back Up Your 2FA Access
Keep your 2FA app secure and out of reach of others. Store your backup/recovery codes somewhere safe in case you lose your phone or device — this is what allows you to regain access without contacting support. Review your 2FA settings periodically to make sure everything is up to date.
