Why are USDC deposits and withdrawals being paused?
Following recent regulatory guidance from the European Banking Authority (EBA) regarding Electronic Money Tokens (EMTs) under PSD2, we are temporarily pausing USDC transfers to and from external wallets.
This is a regulatory-driven measure and not a commercial decision by One Trading.
When does this take effect?
USDC deposits from and withdrawals to external wallets will be paused starting 02 March 2026. Any USDC transfer initiated after this date will not be processed.
What exactly is being paused?
Only the following services are affected:
Deposits of USDC from external wallets
Withdrawals of USDC to external wallets
All other services remain unchanged.
Can I still trade USDC?
Yes. All USDC trading pairs remain fully available.
You can continue to trade and use your existing USDC balance without restriction on the platform.
Can I convert my USDC?
Yes. You can:
Convert USDC to EUR and withdraw fiat
Convert USDC to supported non-EMT cryptocurrencies (e.g., BTC, ETH) and withdraw those assets
Conversion from USDC to USD or GBP is not available.
Can I withdraw my funds?
Yes. You can withdraw:
EUR, USD, GBP (fiat), subject to standard withdrawal methods
BTC, ETH, and other supported non-EMT crypto assets
Only USDC withdrawals to external wallets are paused.
Are my funds safe?
Yes. Your assets remain secure and accessible on the platform.
This change relates solely to the regulatory treatment of external USDC transfers and does not impact custody of your assets.
How long will this last?
This measure is temporary.
We are actively working toward restoring external USDC transfers and will inform clients as soon as regulatory clarity allows us to resume this service.
What should I do if I need USDC in an external wallet?
If you require USDC in an external wallet, please withdraw before 02 March 2026.
After this date, you may:
Convert USDC to EUR and withdraw fiat
Convert USDC to another supported crypto asset and withdraw that instead
Will incoming USDC deposits after 02 March 2026 be credited?
USDC deposits initiated after 02 March 2026 may not be processed.
We strongly recommend not sending USDC to your deposit address after this date.
Are trading fees or spreads changing because of this?
No. There are no changes to trading fees or spreads related to this update.
What happens if I try to withdraw USDC after 02 March 2026?
USDC withdrawal requests submitted after 02 March 2026 will be rejected.
Does this apply to internal transfers between One Trading accounts?
No. This change applies only to transfers between One Trading and external wallets. Internal platform activity is unaffected.
